Misplaced grooms in bedsit rooms hide from the warning gun
The white dove flies toward the mountain under a waning sun
The plaster cracks and disappears and when all's said and done
You're there to die alone or carry on.

In the senseless crowd you pass, someone in whom you hide
If only for a moment till you reach the other side
You raise your arms to make a sign to show the hour has come
But you're alone and everyone has gone.
