(Amidst the crowd of people, Amanda spots the operative from the Central Command sent to detain her. It is her brother, Roscenco. Immediately she panics and runs. With weapon in hand, Roscenco runs after her. Amanda makes her way into a dark concrete carpark. There, she is cornered by Roscenco.)

[Roscenco]
In my sights, you won't escape.

[Amanda]
Drop your weapon, I'm unarmed.

[Roscenco]
You're coming back with me Amanda.

[Amanda]
Is this how you treat your sister?

[Roscenco]
It's my job, my duty to...

[Amanda]
Propaganda, the fruit of lies!

[Roscenco]

[Amanda]

[Roscenco]

[Amanda]

(Black scabs are appearing all over Amanda's face and hands. She is beginning to suffer the early symptoms of the Plague. Insanity will be next, followed by heavy bouts of vomiting and a quick, painful death. Remembering his mission to this time, Roscenco nervously raises his weapon at his sister.)

[Roscenco]
The bio-scan... you have the Plague.

[Amanda]
I know. I know.

[Roscenco]
But the Plague began in this time.

[Amanda]

[Roscenco]

[Amanda]

(Angrily, Amanda makes a grab for Roscenco's weapon. Fearingly he stumbles back. Amanda grabs his weapon and tries to wrench it from his grasp. Inadvertently, she has now infected Roscenco with the Plague.)

[Roscenco]

[Amanda]

[Roscenco]

[Amanda]

(Throwing Amanda aside, Roscenco retrieves his weapon. Amanda huddles in the corner as the Plague enters its final stages.)

[Roscenco]
I have the Plague. Soon I'll die.
No more chance to return.
Fate of humanity rests in my hands.
Time has come.
I cannot bear to see you suffer
The wrath of the Plague.
Your life will end here.
Heave your guts. Lose your life.
My only friend; my only sister.
Death is imminent. No more suffering.
I raise my weapon to your head
To cleanse the earth of the sickness you carry.

(Knowing he has no choice, Roscenco ends Amanda's suffering by vaporising her diseased body with his laser pistol. Knowing that the Plague started in this year originally, he must make the decision to sacrifice his own life.)

[Roscenco]
Amanda lies dead. I am alone;
Concrete carpark.
No one will know the sacrifice I make
For humanity.
My life I take; ultimate sacrifice
To halt the Plague.
Easier to pull the trigger on my sister

(Unable to sacrifice his own life, Roscenco now lies dead from the Plague amidst the dimness of the empty carpark. A car pulls up and a little girl with her mother steps out. Roscenco's Plagued arm is visible through the shadows. The little girl inadvertently touches Roscenco's scabbied arm. She becomes infected. The cycle of the Great Plague has begun again.)
