And I found release from all the pain through His Amazing Grace
Now you ask me would I change things if I faced it all again
But I could never tell you of His healing touch if I'd never felt the pain


Well she captured my devotion through the good times and the bad
She was more than just a helper – she's the best Friend that I had
But one day she graduated – this world couldn't hold her down
Now she's dressed in robes of righteousness and she wears a victor's crown


But my lonely desperation was heard in Heaven above
And my mourning turned to dancing through the tender touch of love
Now you ask me would I change things if I faced it all again
But I could never tell you of His comfort if I'd never felt the pain


Now I glory in my weaknesses so His power can flow through me
Showing others tangled by this life that they can be set free
And I'm totally persuaded that there's nothing in this life
That can separate me from the love that I find in Jesus Christ

And though I get discouraged by the struggles of this earth
And sometimes disappointments make me wonder at its worth
Then the still small voice within me reminds me once again
Of the hope that waits to be revealed to those who've felt the pain
