I feel your touch upon my hand

It wasn't quite what I had planned
But still I find you set my spirit ringing
It only took a moment

And taught me how to sing along

I still can feel your one brief glance
Somehow the memory renews me

That bright and happy happenstance
Began the feelings that suffuse me
I may be acting foolish
I may be out of line
You may be unaware that you have
Made me feel so very fine

I know it's not the same for you
But just the thought of you elates me

I try to write my own songs too
But still your skill intimidates me
I know I have to try it
