When it comes to discussing bananas,
I am moved to extravagant praise;
For the banana is firm and substantial,
And may be used in a number of ways.
With more presence than leeks or asparagus,
And more charm than the brusque bamboo;
The banana has style and a curious smile,
Perceptible only to few.
The banana is not a romantic,
In the popular sense of the thing;
Approach it without care or caution,
And you trip on it's slippery skin.
So be aware of the gallant banana,
When your tolerance seems to be thin;
And instead of the boot or the bullet,
Just put that banana in....
