Sometimes late at night
I sit up and I wonder
Why the price of lemons
Has dropped so drastically
It brings me to my knees
To think that once before
When I ran out of lemons
I couldn't afford anymore
Once upon a time
When I was a little younger
Dealing with hunger
I'd cheat and steal whenever I could
It was one of lowest
Looking for nickles
In my momma's pantie hose
I stole from the church
I stole from the school
Just because I thought it was cool
I was a fool
A citrus tool
The lemons ruled
And all I ever wanted was a lemonade pool
But now it's turning around for me
Because lemons are for free
And I can finally get up off of my knees
Cuz lemons are for free
No more digging in alleys for me
I finally see
And I no longer have to drink my pee
I pay no fee
And only yellow comes out when I bleed
Lemons are for free
At last I cant finally forget about my past
Now I'm alone
I think I'm prone
To inject these lemons into my veins
Cuz when it rains
I wish lemons were falling
I here them calling out to me
Calling out my name
Every times it's the same
I remember when a lemon first touched me I came
In my pants, it made me want to dance
Put me in a trance, that's how it began
